(SALEM) - 51-year-old Odie Floyd of Fredericksburg was airlifted following a one-vehicle crash on Beck’s Mill Road in Salem Tuesday.
Floyd, who suffered head and internal injuries, was taken to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment.
Washington County Sheriff's Department Deputy Jimmy Strange says Floyd was traveling south in a 1999 Jeep when he went left of center as he topped a hill. He overcorrected and ran off the side of the road, striking a tree.
Floyd was wearing his seat belt and the air bags deployed during the incident.
Posey Township Volunteer Fire Department first responders and Washington County EMS assisted at the scene.
