(NEWBERRY) - The town of Newberry has a new clerk-treasurer. Sarah Henry, of Newberry, took the oath of office at noon on Friday.
She replaced the former Clerk-treasurer Jamie Rollins, a Democrat, who resigned April 12.
Greene County Democratic Party Chairman Jeff Lehman made the appointment on Thursday. Henry, who's been a member of the Newberry Town Council for about a year, will fill out the unexpired term of Rollins, which ends Dec. 31, 2015.
Henry, a 1997 Bloomfield High School graduate, is married to Christopher Henry and the couple has four daughters ---- Katelyn (13), Taylor (11), Shelby (8) and Natalie (3).
She is currently a 'stay at home Mom' and formerly worked for about three years at Greene County Community Corrections.
