(MITCHELL) - Spring Mill State Park is hosting its last Easter Egg Scramble on Sunday.
The scramble starts promptly at 2 p.m. at Sycamore Field. Participants should arrive at least 10 minutes early. The scramble lasts only a few minutes, so participants should not be late.
"It is a lot of fun to watch the kids scramble for the eggs, but it's over really quick," said assistant property manager Jon Winne.
Four areas will be roped off for different age groups. The age groups are 4 and under, 5 to 7, 8 and 9, and 11-12 year olds.
Before the scramble, visitors can stop by the Spring Mill Inn lobby from 12:30 to 1:20 p.m. with their cameras to take a picture of their little ones with the Easter Bunny.
Spring Mill thanks the area merchants who helped over the years to make the Easter Egg Scramble successful. Spring Mill was pleased to fill a need in the community by providing the event. However, additional community events are now filling this need.
The park does not want to conflict with those events and will discontinue its scramble after this year.
