(PEKIN) - An Indiana State Trooper was flagged down by a woman on Voyles Road in Pekin saying she had been allegedly battered.
Troopers went to the home and found 36-year-old William McCart. After speaking to McCart he was arrested on charges of battery and strangulation.
While officers were at the home on Voyles Road they met 55-year-old Carol Martin of Salem who was there visiting. Officers then discovered Martin was wanted on a warrant and she was arrested.
While officers were at the home they also discovered enough probable cause to secure a search warrant and found items used to make meth.
The owner of the home, Joseph Sizemore, was already in jail on an unrelated charge.
He and McCarty will now be charged with possession of chemical precursors for the making of meth, possession of meth and drug paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.
This investigation is continuing.
