(BEDFORD) - Two people complained of pain after a two-vehicle rear-end collision at the intersection of 16th and Beech streets Monday night.
According to a Bedford Police report, 51 year-old Ann Dyer was traveling west on 16th Street when a 2001 Honda Odyssey stopped in front of her and her 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix struck the rear of the Odyssey.
51-year-old Donald McFaddin of Williams told police that he saw Dyer's vehicle turning onto 16th Street from the Big Lots entrance and stated that Dyer was driving erratically so he did his best to avoid Dyer's vehicle.
McFaddin told police he had stopped for the traffic light at 16th and Beech Streets and that is when he saw Dyer's vehicle approached from the rear.
McFadden says he flashed his brake lights to get her attention but her vehicle struck his in the rear. Police say there was no evidence at the scene that Dyer hit her brakes before impact.
Dyer was cited for having an expired driver's license, a false or fictitious registration and no insurance.
The owner of the vehicle, Elijah Dyer, arrived on the scene and told police he didn't know why his mother was driving the vehicle and confirmed the vehicle was not insured.
Dyer and her passenger, whose name was not listed on the accident report, both complained of neck and head pain. McFadden was not injured.
