(WASHINGTON) - A Washington man who had been beaten and reportedly thrown from a car is refusing to file charges.
Washington Police received a call just before Midnight on Tuesday reporting a man was laying in a yard in the 800 block of West Main Street.
A witness told police the man was thrown from a moving gray, two-door car. The car then stopped and two people got out and hit the man numerous times before getting back in the car and driving away.
The victim suffered numerous injuries. He told police he had been drinking and got a ride with the two people he did not know. He then told police that there was an argument, but he couldn't remember what they were arguing about.
The police say the man refused to press charges.
The man was taken to the Daviess Community Hospital for treatment.
