(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was arrested after she caused a disturbance at the Hauck House Friday afternoon.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers were called to the Hauck House at 2:30 p.m. because 44-year-old Kristy Fountain was causing a disturbance and had threatened a home healthcare worker.
"The healthcare worker was trying to help Miss Fountain and that is when she allegedly swung items she had in her hand at the worker," Parsley says.
When police arrived Fountain had left the building. But officers found her sitting on the curb next to a vehicle at the Bedford Public Library.
"She told officers the vehicle belonged to her mother and she was waiting for her to give her a ride," Parsley says. "The owner of the vehicle then arrived and told police she didn't know Fountain. During that time officers were able to determine Miss Fountain was intoxicated."
Fountain was arrested for public intoxication and intimidation for threatening the healthcare worker. After police did an inventory of her purse, she was also charged with possession of a legend drug after police discovered benlafaxine.
