(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police were called to West 17th Street, at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday, after a person called police to report a woman was staggering into traffic and undressing in the parking lot of an apartment complex.
Police officers found the woman, naked and screaming. Police determined the woman was extremely intoxicated, according to Bloomington police Sgt. Joe Crider.
The woman told police she was sexually assaulted. She did not give police any information and refused to take a sexual assault examination at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
The 47-year-old woman, whose name is not being released because of a possible sexual assault, was booked into the Monroe County Jail on preliminary charges of battery of a police officer, public intoxication, public nudity and disorderly conduct.
Her bond was set at $4,000 surety, $500 cash.
