(WORTHINGTON) - A Worthington man was arrested after a domestic dispute involving several people last week. Worthington Police arrested 54-year-old Dana Turpin on charges of battery.
The argument took place in the back yard of a home on Haxton Street.
When police arrived on the scene, Turpin was sitting in the yard catching his breath. According to police Turpin came home upset that two of the people had not mowed the yard and got upset with another individual about a dog.
Turpin allegedly grabbed the man he was in a dispute with by the shirt. That is when the others stepped in to help. Turpin then grabbed another person and placed them in a headlock and began punching them in the face.
When another person came to help, Turpin is accused of letting the one person out of the headlock and then started fighting with the other person, forcing him to the ground causing him to bang his knee on the concrete. After seeing the fighting, a neighbor came over and got the fight stopped.
Police say that Turpin admitted to the physical altercation with three different people, but refused to provide police with any details.
Turpin was arrested and was released after posting bond. He appeared in court Monday to face charges of two counts of battery resulting in bodily injury and one count of battery.
