(BEDFORD) - Brenda Cummins of the Lawrence County Health Department is now an on-site wastewater professional.
She completed the requirements in conjunction with the Indiana State Department of Health.
The Indiana Onsite Wastewater Professionals Association created this program to certify professionals so that local health departments and people in the wastewater industry have a method to evaluate the level of professionalism and to protect Indiana's waterways.
The association is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) tax exempt educational organization committed to protecting public health and Indiana's environment by improving and increasing access to wastewater treatment for individuals and communities living beyond centralized wastewater treatment facilities.
