(MITCHELL) - Four people were injured after a two-vehicle accident Thursday morning on Rariden Hill Road.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 85-year-old Joe Burcham of Bloomfield was crossing through the median to cross Ind. 37 at Rariden Hill Road when he pulled his 2004 Chevrolet Silverado into the path of a 1992 Buick LeSabre driven by 55-year-old Gregory Rainey, of Springville.
According to police, Rainey attempted to avoid the collision by braking and swerving.
Rainey complained of chest pain. His passengers, 5-year-old Brayden Evans of Mitchell complained of body pain and 58-year-old Pamela Rainey of Springville complained of chest pain.
Joe Burcham was not injured, but his passenger 85-year-old Imogene Burcham complained of chest pain.
Joe Burcham was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
