(DUBOIS CO.) - Four people were injured in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday night at the intersection of State Road 162 and Interstate 64.
According to a Dubois County Sheriff's Department report, 17-year-old Douglas Lampert of Saint Anthony was traveling south on Ind. 162 when he failed to yield the right of way and struck a pick-up truck driven by 18-year-old Travis Vonderheide of Ferdinand.
Both drivers were trapped in their vehicles.
Lampert and a passenger in his car, 56-year-old Michael Lampert of Saint Anthony, were taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital and later transferred to Saint Mary's Hospital in Evansville.
Another passenger, 18-year-old Courtney Holsman of Saint Croix, was treated for injuries at Jasper Memorial and released.
Vonderheide was also treated for injuries at Jasper Memorial and released.
The accident closed State Road 162 for about an hour.
Douglas Lampert was cited for failure to yield.
