(STARVE HOLLOW) - Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating the death of a Vallonia woman that occurred in the Jackson-Washington State Forest Saturday night.
Shortly before midnight, a Starve Hollow security employee discovered the body of 40-year-old Jean Ann Berry at the fire tower off Sky Line Drive outside of Brownstown.
Preliminary investigation indicates that Berry's death was self-inflicted. An autopsy is scheduled for today at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police.
Conservation Officers were assisted at the scene by the Jackson County Sheriff's Department.
