(SHOALS) - The Indiana State Police is looking for answers after a burglary was reported Saturday at a Shoals car dealership.

Trooper Jarrod Lents went to Bailey Brothers Used Cars, in the 500 block of 2nd Street, after employees discovered that the sales office had been broken into. Sometime between closing on Friday and Saturday morning someone broke into the officer area and took three sets of keys. Of the three cars the keys belonged to, a 1994 Jeep Cherokee was not moved, a 1995 Jeep Cherokee was moved across the street and across from the service center, and a 2009 BMW 335i was stolen from the property.

After entering the BMW as stolen in the computer database, investigators learned that the vehicle had been recovered at about 6:30 Saturday morning by the Orange County Sheriff's Department. The vehicle had been abandoned in a ditch.

Indiana State Police Crime Scene Investigators spent the rest of the weekend processing the vehicles and business for clues and information; however, investigators are asking for your assistance. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact the Jasper Post of the Indiana State Police by calling (812) 482-1441.
