(BEDFORD) - The second annual Bedford Lions Club Fitness Challenge 5K Run/Walk raised $3,892 to benefit the local LIFE Blessings program serving the North Lawrence Community Schools.
The members of the Lions Club would like to thank Englewood School for the use of their building, the Bedford Police Department for providing route safety coordination, the Magnificent 7 Racing Series for marketing and timing the event, the Let's Go Running Club for their organizational expertise at this event, and all the runners and walkers that made this event such a great success.
The Lions would also like to thank the following sponsors for playing a big role in ensuring the great success of the event and benefitting the LIFE Blessings program: Bedford Ford Lincoln Roush, Hoosier Hills Credit Union, German American Bank, First United Methodist Church, Dr. Jim Sowders Practice of Optometry, George Wealth Management Group, Nanlee Engineering Inc., Bedford North Lawrence Scholarship Foundation Inc., CDR Design, and Bedford Federal Savings Bank.
