(LINTON) - 26-year-old Hunter J. Christy of Linton is accused of stealing a DVD from Walmart in February was arrested Sunday on a felony count of theft.
According to Linton Police Christy was caught on video surveillance as well as observed by a Walmart employee on February 24 stealing a DVD.
The employee noticed Christy acting very nervous as he selected a DVD. He then went into the men's sock aisle, tore DVD from the wrapper with his teeth and put his hand into his jacket pocket. The witness saw Christy walking down the aisle without the DVD. She then checked the area where he had been standing and couldn't find the DVD.
She then went to the front of the store and watched as Christy left with the DVD wrapper hanging out of his pocket. She also determined that Christy had recently been hired to work at the store.
