(MITCHELL) - The city of Mitchell is in the process of developing a comprehensive plan with the help of Bernardin Lochmueller & Associates.
A public meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. May 13 at the community building to obtain public input concerning the future of Mitchell in regards to the development of the plan.
Residents of Mitchell are asked to come up with ideas regarding housing, parks, infrastructure and economic development.
Residents are encouraged to complete a survey in advance of the meeting.
It can be taken at mitchellcomprehensiveplan2014.wordpress.com or at the Facebook page. The website and Facebook page also include updates on the Mitchell Comprehensive Plan.
Paper copies of the survey can be obtained and returned to the Mitchell City Hall 407 S. Sixth St., Mitchell. The survey takes about five minutes to complete.
Anyone with questions about the plan or the survey can call the mayor's office at 849-5161.
