(PATOKA) - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will offer a tour of Patoka Lakes’s Dam and tower on Saturday at 10 a.m.
Those wanting to attend should meet at 9:30 a.m. at Patoka Lake Visitor Center to car caravan to the Patoka Lake Dam or you can meet officials at the Dam off Highway 545.
Those attending will discover the detailed operations of reservoir management for flood control as the guide takes you inside the actual Dam Tower structure, how the lake level and spring flooding is controlled and who built the Patoka Reservoir & Dam in the 1970s.
