(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Police arrested a 16-year-old girl Wednesday after she allegedly made threats at the Bedford North Lawrence High School Monday.
According to Sheriff Sam Craig the teen was arrested on a charge of juvenile delinquency by intimidation and was released to parents.
"The threats were made during a fight," Craig says. "I don't think the intention was to make a death threat."
North Lawrence Superintendent Gary Conner says school officials take all threats seriously.
"Threats are something that can be damaging, and as a society, we're going to take them seriously," he added.
