(BLOOMINGTON) - A Scavenger Hunt Bike Race for Charity, a benefit for Gear Going Global, will take place May 17 at Third Street Park in Bloomington.
The Mountain Folk Adventure Series event, called "Scalley Cat," will begin with check-in at 11 a.m. and the race will begin at noon.
The event will end about 6 p.m. and there will be an after-event party at Back Door.

Each team will receive a list of places that will direct them to a downtown area business where they will participate in a fun activity.
Gear Going Global is a local charity that sends sports equipment and gear to needy regions in the world. The money from the event will go to orphanages and family centers in Central and South America, reaching as far south as Cuzco, Peru.
