(WILLIAMS) - Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an ATV accident that occurred near Williams Saturday.
Officers were called to the 200 block of Ridge Road shortly after 9:30 p.m. about a teen being struck by an ATV.
According to witnesses, 15-year-old Neil Amstutz of Williams was driving a Yamaha 350 AVT on Ridge Road when he accidentally struck 16-year-old William Riley of Williams who had been running in the parking lot adjacent to the road playing football.
Riley was knocked to the ground as the ATV ran over top of him, causing him to suffer a seizure.
Amstutz's ATV remained upright, and he did not suffer any injuries
Riley was transported first by ambulance to IU Health in Bloomington and then airlifted to Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis.
Assisting agencies at the scene included Spice Valley Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department.
