(BLOOMINGTON) - The Bloomington Playwrights Project presents the 34th Annual Arts Fair on the Square this Saturday from 10am - 5pm.
Arts Fair on the Square takes place on the picturesque grounds surrounding the Monroe County Courthouse in beautiful downtown Bloomington, Indiana, a town known for its diversity and strong arts community.
Arts Fair on the Square continually strives to foster the careers of artists, give artists a unique venue to present and sell their work, maintain high quality art and craft, and promote the fair and its artists.
Arts Fair on the Square takes pride in bringing visual artists and craftspeople together with the local and regional communities and beyond.
The 34th Annual Arts Fair on the Square features the work of 80 local and national artists, representatives from local arts organizations, and a variety of activities for children and adults.
Featured entertainment includes live performances from local arts organizations including the Bloomington Community Band, Windfall Dancers, Jordan River Crossing, Panache Dance, Dark Side Tribal, and Different Drummer Belly Dancers. But it doesn't stop there! Our Children's Art Center features Make & Take Masks by Lotus Education & Arts Foundation, Random Acts of Artistic Genius by Ivy Tech/ BPP Youth Education, and face painting and balloon animals by Strawberri-Shortcake the Clown from the All Smiles Clown Company.
The mission of Arts Fair on the Square is to showcase fine art and craft of the highest quality, connect artists with the art-buying community, and promote commitment to the arts through a variety of interactive arts experiences. When you are not viewing a variety of art by both regional and national artists, stop by the Children's Art Center or the Entertainment Areas to see everything Arts Fair on the Square has to offer.
