(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was injured after she was hit by a vehicle Monday afternoon at Four Seasons Sports on Washington Avenue.
According to a Bedford Police report, 31-year-old Kelly Carlisle of Mitchell was backing from a parking space in the parking lot of Four Seasons Sports when she felt a bump. Thinking she had hit another vehicle, Carlisle told police that she pulled her 2001 Pontiac Aztek forward and then saw 82-year-old Delores Duncan on the ground.
A witness at the scene, Catherine Thomas, told police she saw Duncan walk behind the vehicle and then saw Carlisle back out of the park space, striking Duncan.
Duncan was taken by ambulance to St. Vincent Dunn Hospital after suffering a possible broken neck.
When police spoke to her at the hospital she couldn't answer the officer's questions and was then flown by Air Evac to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment.
Carlisle was given a blood-alcohol test at the hospital, which is standard procedure and those results are pending.
