(MORGAN-MONROE STATE FOREST) - In an effort to better document the biological value of acres of forest in the Morgan-Monroe State Forest back country area, members of the Indiana Forest Alliance have launched an Ecoblitz, which is a comprehensive survey of all the wildlife and plants of an area.
The Ecoblitz began with volunteers combing through the Low Gap Nature Preserve and adjacent state forest land on Saturday and Sunday to try and identify as many of the birds, amphibians, reptiles, plants, fungi, insects and spiders.
