(BEDFORD) - 37-year-old Timothy Storms was arrested Monday on a warrant for allegedly hitting his 13-year-old son.
According to a probable cause affidavit, police talked with the boy at the Bedford Middle School in March.
The teen had suffered a cut above his right eye, scrapes on his left cheek and neck and had bruising around both eyes.
When asked how the boy suffered the injuries he told police he had wrecked his bike, but then admitted that his mother had told him to say that.
The boy then told police he had been in a fight with his dad over riding his bike. The boy then took a stick and hit Storms' camper and truck and that is when his dad became angry and threw the boy to the ground and got on top of him, pulled the boy's head up and hit it against the ground.
After the incident the boy keep passing out and was taken to IU Health Hospital for treatment.
The boy had suffered a contusion to his eye and a concussion. Hospital officials reported the crime to police.
