(BLOOMFIELD) - Two Bloomfield brothers, 25-year-old William and 26-year-old George Cinamon, were arrested on warrants Thursday after allegedly stealing gas and tools from a Springville home.
According to a probable cause affidavit, when the Springville resident returned from work on April 11, he discovered his garage door open and a window had been taken apart and the screen cut out.
Missing was gas from two motorcycles, a four-wheeler and a lawn mower. Also two gas cans, a Craftsman socket set and several other hand tools were taken along with two chainsaws.
On April 15, a Greene County Sheriff's Department detective found the Husqvarna chainsaw at a Bloomington pawn shop and discovered that the saw was brought to the store by George Cinamon. Another chain saw was located at another Bloomington pawn shop and that item was pawned by William Cinamon.
The items had been pawned the same day the theft was reported.
On April 24, the Springville resident contacted police again and reported he had found some of his missing sockets on a four-wheeler trail behind his house and when he followed the trail it came out at the home of the Cinamon brothers.
Police spoke to William on May 5 who admitted he had let his brother use his id to pawn the chainsaw.
Warrants were issued for their arrest on June 10. Both brothers are facing felony charges of theft.
