(SPRINGVILLE) - The members of Springville Girl Scouts Brownie Troop 03219 were happy to give back to their community.
The girls were asked what they would like to do with their cookie earnings this season and the girls voted to help two worthy causes.
They made blankets for Becky's Place in Bedford and donated money to the Perry Township Volunteer Firefighters / EMS.
The blankets and other useful items were delivered to Becky's Place in March and delivered a $25 check to Perry VFD firefighters May 6 delivered at their monthly board meeting. The girls had to sell 39 boxes of cookies to earn the $25.
The girls will also be enjoying a fun day at Caribbean Cove with the rest of their earnings.
The girls would like to thank everyone who supported their troop through the year.
The troop has two leaders and eight girls in grades 2-3. They are Sophie, Samantha, Kaitlyn, McKenzie, Rebekah, Evie, Jordan and Olivia. Their leaders are Carrie and Summer.
