Updated: Father, Son Dispute In Shoals Turns Deadly

(SHOALS) - A day long argument Sunday between a father and son ended Sunday evening with one dead.

An autopsy has been scheduled today for Jonathan Tow, who died after his father allegedly stabbed him in the throat with a knife.

Further information will be released after the autopsy and a discussing between police investigators and Martin County Prosecutor Mike Steiner.

According to an Indiana State Police report, officers were called to a Shoals home at 9:55 p.m. after receiving a 911 call from 60-year-old John Bruce Tow, reporting his son 32-year-old Jonathan Tow was bleeding to death.

Indiana State Troopers and Martin County Deputies arrived at the home on Doane Lane in Shoals just moments later and found Jonathan Tow lying outside the doorway of the trailer with a knife wound to his neck.

Emergency medical personnel and first responders attempted to save Jonathan; however, he did not survive.

John Bruce Tow was taken to the Martin County Jail where he is being held on preliminary charges of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.

Indiana State Police detectives and crime scene technicians continue to investigating the incident.

According to ISP Sergeant Philip Hensley, no other information is being released at this time. An updated press release willbe issued when more information becomes available.
