(AVOCA) - Four people were arrested after police discovered meth Tuesday night.
According to Oolitic Deputy Marshal Bill Allen, he and state troopers Josh Allen and Kent Rofling made a traffic stop on Ind. 37 north near Avoca, when a man fled from the vehicle on foot into the woods. Officers went after the man and caught 38-year-old Claude Swartz a short time later.
Officers then discovered meth and several items in the vehicle used to make and process meth.
Officers arrested Swartz, 50-year-old Robert Holmes and 25-year-old Lindsey Hutchinson on felony charges of conspiracy to manufacture meth, illegal possession of precursors with the intent to manufacture meth.
Swartz was also charged with possession of meth and resisting arrest by fleeing.
After gathering information, officers then went to a home on Sanders Lane in Bedford where they discovered another one-pot meth lab. Officers arrested 37-year-old Steven Lagle, who was at the home, on charges of illegal sale of precursors, theft, possession of a schedule II controlled substance and a legend drug.
Troopers then went to a second home in Greene County and discovered another one-pot meth lab.
The investigation is on-going and more arrests are pending.
