(LOOGOOTEE) - Indiana Conservation Officers arrested 23-year-old Nathan Leistner of Haysville on felony charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
According to investigators, on June 4, just before 11 p.m., Conservation Officer Jon Watkins was patrolling west on U.S. 50 in Loogootee when he noticed a small sedan driven by Leistner traveling at a high-rate of speed on State Road 550. Leistner then run the stop light at the two highway's intersection and continued traveling north on Kentucky Street.
Officer Watkins immediately initiated a traffic stop. The officer, suspecting impairment and detecting the odor of an alcoholic beverage, conducted a field sobriety test which Leistner failed. The was then arrested and taken to the Martin County Jail, where he blew a .13 on a blood alcohol test.
