(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County officers are investigating an incident that happened at the jail early Sunday morning.
According to Sheriff Sam Craig, jail officers went to a block after the inmates flooded the cell block by stopping up the toilets.
Craig says when the officers went to investigate they were doused with a cup filled with what was believed to be toilet water. The incident is under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
"But whoever threw the water, could be looking at a charge of battery with bodily fluid," Craig says.
