(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana University is now offering reserved parking on the Bloomington campus for the upcoming school year.
Current parking permits expire at the end of the month and Permit prices increased by 9 percent for the coming year.
For $1,668, full time faculty and staff can have their own reserved parking spot 24-hours a day for a year.
The new reserved designation will also give the driver access to any other A, C or garage parking on campus.
Motorists, if they have a permit, will also be able to park anywhere after 5 p.m. except the 24-hour spaces.
The new parking option is one of several ideas developed by a transportation committee at IU that was tasked with looking into more options than the traditional A and C parking spots.
There is also a new employee economy permit that's $24 a year to park at the athletic lots where drivers can then take a bus to campus.
