(BEDFORD) - Lesley Lodmell is the new youth educator with the Lawrence County Purdue Extension Service.
Two years ago, Lodmell began a 10-week internship in the Lawrence County office, where she built on an already-existing desire to ultimately become a youth educator.
Lodmell, serving the internship as Lesley Greenwell before getting married in 2012 to Matthew Lodmell, who works at Crane, had no idea that the youth educator's job would be opening up just as she was graduating with her master's degree from Indiana University.
She learned about the opening on a jobs website and applied. Lodmell says she has three main goals to building interest in 4-H, make the program a year-round event and to strengthen adult involvement in 4-H.
