(LINTON) - A seven-year-old Linton boy was transported to the hospital with severe injuries Wednesday after doing a wheelie on a motorcycle and crashing into a tree.
Emergency medical personnel and police were dispatched to a residence in southwest Linton around 5 p.m.
Linton Police Officer Nick Yingling reported the boy was driving a 2008 Kawasaki KX65 through his yard and lifted the front wheel off the ground and accelerated, while looking at neighbor children playing in their pool.
According to the police report, the motorcycle struck a tree in the yard causing the boy to be ejected off the cycle and fall to the ground. He received serious injuries and was unresponsive when police and rescue personnel arrived.
