(LINTON) - 31-year-old Theodore Miller of Linton was arrested Sunday after he allegedly tried to hit a woman with a sledgehammer after she refused to give him $20.
Officers were dispatched to the home just after midnight after a neighbor called police saying they were woke by a loud bang outside their home. When the woman went to see what was going on she found Miller with the sledgehammer.
She had loaned him $20 which he repaid on June 14, but he wanted the money back. She refused to give it to him that is when Miller threatened to return with his brothers and smash the head of those in the home and then attempted to hit the woman with the sledgehammer.
Miller allegedly broke a window and damaged the vinyl siding of the home. He then left on a bicycle. Police arrested him at the intersection of State Road 59 South and Southwest D Street.
Miller is facing charges of intimidation and criminal mischief.
