(SPENCER) - A 52-year-old Spencer man was admitted to IU Health Methodist Hospital Sunday after he drove his go-kart onto a highway and was struck by a Buick.
According to an Owen County Sheriff's Department report, Scott Dayhoff was operating a go-kart on a private recreational trail when he drove onto the east side of U.S. 231 north of Spencer into the path of a 2011 Buick driven by 61-year-old Robert Helmer of Pendleton.
