(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police are investigating a robbery that happened Friday night.
According to Bloomington Police Sgt. Lucas Tate, officers were called to IU Health Bloomington Hospital at 7:41 p.m. Friday where a 20-year-old male was being treated after he was struck on the side of the face.
The man told police he was in the area of East Seventh and North Lincoln streets around 2 a.m. when one or more people approached attacked him and stole his wallet and other personal belongings.
An unknown person helped the man to a friend's house after the attack.
The man was released treated and released from the hospital and police are investigating in the incident.
Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the Bloomington Police Department.
