(UNDATED) - Indiana residents can fish without a license in the state’s public waters during a free fishing weekend on June 7th & 8th.
Normally, anyone 18-years-old or older needs a license to fish.
To help celebrate Free Fishing Days, locations are planning fishing derbies, knot tying and casting clinics, and cleaning and cooking classes.
In 2013, nearly 2,000 people participated in Free Fishing Day events.
Some events require pre-registration, so call your favorite property for details.
