(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was cited into court after she left the scene of an accident Saturday afternoon.
According to a Bedford Police report, a resident in the 500 block of 15th Street was mowing their lawn when they heard a crash and saw an older blue Buick LeSabre driving from the scene after crashing into a park 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier, owned by Connie Asberry, of Bedford.
Police found the LeSabre parked at the corner of 15th and E streets. The vehicle had damage to the front driver's side.
When officer spoke to 30-year-old Kristy Anderson, of 434 15th St., she told police she wasn't involved in a crash, but then admitted that she had struck the other vehicle and fled the scene because she didn't have a valid driver's license.
Anderson was cited into court on charges of driving while her driver's license was suspended and for leaving the scene of an accident.
