(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was injured after her van ran her over in her driveway Tuesday morning.
According to a Bedford Police report, Lucy Blevins was traveling south on F Street and when she stopped at the intersection of 22nd Street she saw a woman laying in the roadway.
Blevins got out of her vehicle and ran over to 71-year-old Anna Fisher who had been run over by her own 2003 Chevrolet van.
Blevins called 911.
Fisher told police she had gotten out of her van and was getting into the back cargo area of the van when the vehicle started moving and she was not able to get out of the way and the van ran over the top of her.
Fisher suffered serious injuries to her upper body and was taken to St. Vincent Dunn Hospital and flown by helicopter to an Indianapolis Hospital.
