(UNDATED) - The American Red Cross urges eligible blood donors to roll up a sleeve and give to help prevent a summer blood shortage.
Blood donors with types O negative, B negative and A negative are especially needed.
A blood drive will be held on Wednesday at the Indiana University Foundation on State Road 46 at the bypass from 11 a.m. till 3 p.m.
On Friday you can donated at the Lawrence County 4-H Fair from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m.; Shakamak Junior Senior High School in Greene County from Noon until 5 p.m. and at Bloomington High South High School from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Simply call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org to make an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcome.
