(ODON) - An Odon man was arrested after a fight on the 4th of July ended with a warrant issued for his arrest.
23-year-old William T. Wise is facing multiple felony charges including aggravated battery, battery with a deadly weapon and reckless driving.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Odon Police were called to 305 Gum Street in Odon where they found Rick Arthur bleeding from the head. Arthur told officers he had been injured by Wise. Arthur told officers he had thrown a beer that had struck Wise's pickup truck.
Arthur told officers he began arguing with Wise when Wise got into his pickup. During the confrontation Arthur got tangled in the truck cab and wound up being dragged 247 feet along Garton Street before he was thrown from the vehicle.
Wise told officers he had kept driving even though Arthur was caught in the truck cab because "he was trying to get away from the drunks that were chasing him."
Wise is being held in the Daviess County Jail on $100,000 bond.
