(HARDINSBURG) - The First Harrison Bank in Hardinsburg was robbed Monday morning, according to Washington County Chief Deputy Sheriff Roger Newlon.
Newlon says an adult white male entered the bank at approximately 9 a.m. and asked the teller for money. He allegedly told the teller he had a weapon but Newlon said no gun was displayed.
Newlon says officers recovered items at the scene that could belong to the suspect.
Police say the male who appeared to be in his early 20s, was wearing a zippered hoodie and had a scruffy goatee.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Washington County Sheriff's Department.
