(SEYMOUR) - If you are traveling south on Interstate 65, you can expect some significant road delays over the next few weeks.
The Indiana Department of Transportation is planning to accelerate construction efforts along Interstate 65 between Seymour and Scottsburg.
Crews will be working non-stop until 1 p.m. Friday, July 25th. Officials hope that stepping up the work will shorten the project's timeline by six to eight weeks.
The $54.7 million dollar pavement project is repairing the I-65 roadbed along 21 lane-miles of the highway as well as rehabilitating 20 bridges.
