(INDIANAPOLIS) - A hearing is scheduled in Marion County today over I-69 construction noise in Monroe County.
The County Commissioners passed a noise ordinance with hopes it would force state highway crews to keep the noise down between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. That didn't sit well with the Indiana Department of Transportation.
INDOT sued the county, alleging the commissioners didn't have legal authority to hinder a state and federal highway project.
INDOT is asking for a temporary restraining order to override the ordinance.
