(PRINCETON) - A Patoka woman was arrested for trespassing over the weekend.
According to police, officers were called just before 4 a.m. Sunday about a prowler in a home in the 400 block of West Emerson Street in Princeton.
According to the Gibson county Sheriff's Department, the homeowner woke to their dog barking and found a woman standing inside their home, outside of their daughter's bedroom.
The homeowner took the woman, 36-year-old Karen Shearer, outside until police arrived.
Police say, Shearer had been at a local bar and was very intoxicated. She had left the bar and walked several blocks and entered the home.
Shearer was arrested on a charge of residential entry. She has since posted a $750 bond and was released from jail.
