(LINTON) - Linton man was arrested after he was caught in the act of trying to steal a black Ford Explorer that was parked in the driveway of a Linton residence late Sunday afternoon.
56-year-old Donald Martin is accused of attempting to steal his mother-in-laws vehicle.
When police arrived, Martin was sitting in the driver's seat of the vehicle parked in a driveway on South East Sixth Street.
Martin had the vehicle keys in his hand.
The vehicle owner told police she had not given Martin permission to take the vehicle and she had left the vehicle unlocked with the keys inside.
Martin was arrested on a felony charge of auto theft.
Martin's bond was set at $4,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed.
