(LINTON) - A Linton woman is facing felony theft charges after allegedly stealing an iPad from a residence.
29-year-old Andrea Harmening was arrested just after 1 a.m. Saturday.
According to police, a woman reported Harmening came to her home on Friday afternoon and asked to use her phone. She then allowed harmening to use the bathroom. The woman says Harmeing was in the bathroom a long time and was making a lot of noise.
Harmening then left the home a short time later. Later that night the woman discovered her white iPad with a red leather case and charger was missing from her bathroom, and told police that Harmening was the only other person who had been in her home that day.
Police found Harmening at a motel room and she was asked about the missing iPad. Harmening denied having the iPad.
Officers asked is they could search Harmening's room and that is when they found a handgun in a suitcase. The officer placed the gun on a chest of drawers and that is when the noticed the iPad and charger in an opened drawer.
Police arrested Harmening after she admitted to taking the device.
