(BEDFORD) - A Mitchell man was arrested after he allegedly shoved a woman who was attempting to help him.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers were called to an apartment in the 2000 block of Plaza Drive just before 4 p.m. and were meet by EMT's who were called after a man had allegedly taken several pills and was hallucinating and had shut himself in an apartment.
"But before officers and medical personnel arrived, Mr. Walker allegedly shoved his caretaker who was trying to help him," Parsley says.
Officers finally were able to talk 45-year-old Larry Walker into opening the door. Walker was uncooperative and after being checked by medical personnel, Walker was arrested on for battery.
