(FRENCH LICK) - A groundbreaking ceremony was held for a new $6 million Best Western Plus hotel to be located at 613 Arnold Habig Boulevard in French Lick.
C & B Hospitality, LLC owners/investors Kevin Beaty and Donavan Crews, Hillcrest Development Inc. president and CEO, Al Hill and General Hotels Corporation vice president of sales and marketing, Glenn Brooks conducted the ceremony with French Lick Redevelopment Commission president Barry Wininger providing remarks.
Upon completion, the thoughtfully designed Best Western Plus French Lick will feature 68 well-appointed guest rooms, including 5 extended stay rooms along with limited function space to accommodate small meetings.
Additional amenities and services will include complimentary breakfast, complimentary high-speed Internet, long distance access and local calls along with a business center, indoor swimming pool, fitness center and on-site guest laundry. Completion of the project is slated for spring 2015.
Best Western Plus French Lick investors include C & B Hospitality, LLC, located in French Lick, Indianapolis based General Hotels Corporation and Hillcrest Development, Inc. located in Dixon, IL.
"The Best Western Plus will be a huge asset for the Town of French Lick," said Barry Wininger, French Lick Redevelopment Commission president. "The hotel will provide the additional sleeping rooms needed to attract larger conventions to our area and fills a much needed pricing level for rooms in French Lick. We look forward to working with Best Western Plus with the goal of having the hotel open by the Senior PGA event in May of 2015."
